Spirit House Fry-Up

Two eggs served as you like with Australian Cumberland sausage, crispy bacon, hash brown, mushrooms, onions, tomato, Heinz baked beans & fried farmhouse bread Served with a pot of Lipton Yellow Label tea or cup of Lao Mountain coffee

Eggs Benedict

Two poached eggs served on an English muffin with a bed of asparagus and our chef’s own hollandaise sauce with spinach, pepper ham or smoked salmon

Asian Bruschetta

Deep fried tempura squid tossed in salt & pepper seasoning and served with a Lao sweet & sour sauce

Steamed Fish Lao-Style

Beautiful whole Mekong river fish traditionally prepared in a fresh chilli, garlic, and lime sauce. Topped with coriander & spring onion

Fried Morning Glory

Probably our favourite local dish. Local water vegetable fried in oyster sauce with fresh garlic & chilli. Simple but delicious

Papaya Salad

Lao’s national dish. A very spicy local salad, served with red carrot, cherry tomatoes, garlic, peanuts & lots of fresh chilli in a local fish sauce

Lao Laap

Traditional Lao dish of pan-fried minced meat, mixed with mint, coriander, spring onions, toasted rice, fresh lemon juice and fresh chilli with pork, chicken or fish

Pork & Tamarind Fish Laap

A dark beer-breaded Mekong river fish fillet severed on a bed of green beans with slightly sour pork, herb and tamarind sauce

Stir-Fried Kapao Leaves

Stir-fried kapao leaves, mushrooms, onion, long beans & red chilli served in a coconut cream sauce with pork, chicken or fish

Stir-Fried Balsamic

Strips of local pork or beef stir-fried in an balsamic sauce with peppers, onion, tomato & green beans

Stuffed Peppers in Tamarind sauce

Traditional steamed sweet peppers, stuffed with minced pork, prawn, squid, egg, lemon leaves, Lao basil and spring onion topped with tamarind sauce served with a side of broccoli and spinach in oyster sauce

The Kojiro Martini

Named after Sasaki Kojiro, a legendary Japanese Samurai who based his swordplay on the motion of a swallows tail in flight. The Kojiro is a blend of Tanqueray Ten fresh botanical gin stirred with a hint of dry sake and served with a touch of pickled pink ginger
